Consider the following questions:

  • How is an APA style literature review similar or different from other papers that you have written in school?
  • What are the challenges of learning a new formatting style? What resources do you think will be most helpful?
  • Have you learned APA format before? If so, where?
  • An important part of a literature review is synthesis – taking your individual sources and combining their ideas, strengths, and weaknesses together to form an overall picture of your topic of interest. Have you engaged in this type of writing before? What might be challenging about this type of writing?
