Consider the following questions:

  • Consider the jobs, internships, or volunteering opportunities that you have held in the past. Where did you find these positions? What was the role of your network?
  • Conduct a Google search on yourself using a private browser window. What results do you get? Review your social media settings – are your profiles and pages publicly available? What information do people see?
  • Describe your thoughts about networking. Do you feel confident in your ability to make connections with people in your area of interest? What do you feel uncertain or unclear about?
  • Review the interview types and common interview questions. Which of these have you encountered before? What is challenging about the interview process?
